Our Commitment
Patterson Township is committed to ensuring that pattersontwp.com is accessible to all members of the public, including those with disabilities. We are working to bring this site into conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is the standard adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice for state and local government web content under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to remediate the remaining issues.
Last reviewed: April 2026.
Older Documents (PDFs)
The Township publishes meeting agendas, minutes, ordinances, and forms as PDF files. Many recent documents are tagged for accessibility, but some older documents (particularly archived meeting minutes from 2017 to 2019) were created from paper scans and do not yet meet the standard. If you need any document on this site in an accessible format, please contact us using the information below and we will provide it to you at no charge within a reasonable timeframe.
Third-Party Content
Some content on this site — for example, the online payment portal, embedded calendars, and links to other government or community organizations — is hosted by third parties whose accessibility is outside our direct control. We work with these providers when issues are identified. If you encounter a barrier on a linked external service, please let us know so we can advocate for a fix or provide an accessible alternative.
How to Report an Accessibility Problem or Request an Accommodation
If you encounter any content or feature on this website that you cannot access, or if you would like to request a document or service in an accessible format, please contact us. We make every reasonable effort to respond within five (5) business days.

Ongoing Work
We have completed an internal accessibility audit of this site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and are remediating findings in phases. As of the date above, completed work includes a sitewide skip-to-content link, a main landmark on every page, accessible link colours, visible keyboard focus indicators, an accessible search field, an accessible mobile menu, and a pause control for the homepage background video. Additional work on calendar accessibility, form error messaging, per-page content, and PDF tagging is in progress.
